• Premium content by Fodor's Travel

Tripomatic Premium gets a new benefit. Read lots of detailed practical information, sourced from Fodor's Travel.

We're adding the premium content gradually for our most popular destinations.



• New hotel amenities

You can now see at a glance if a hotel provides airport transfers, family rooms, has a pool and many more amenities.



• Trip privacy settings

This new setting allows you to change a trip's privacy. Now you can make a trip private. No one but you will be able to access your private trips. The other option is called shareable and as the name suggests it allows you to share the trip among your friends. Everyone having the link to your shareable trip will be able to access it.



• Shared trip planning

Share your trips with friends and work on them together.

For now you'll need to manage who has access to your trip on the web. Go to http://www.tripomatic.com and log in, open the trip you'd like to manage and in the share menu add or remove the people having access.



• Item details refresh

Places, hotels and tours have received a new look. How do you like it?



• Sign in using Dashlane password manager

In addition to 1Password, you can now use another popular password manager app to sign in - Dashlane.



• iOS 9 Spotlight search

Now there's no need to launch Tripomatic to find info about a nearby place. All the places you've viewed in the Tripomatic app can now be found via iOS 9's new system-wide search - the Spotlight. Just swipe down anywhere on the home screen to search.



• More Photos with faster loading

You'll see more beautiful photos and you'll see them faster.



• Save taken photos to camera roll

All photos taken within the app are now saved to your camera roll. This can be disabled in settings.



• Delete custom places

You can now delete custom places that you no longer need.



• Handoff support

When viewing a place detail on your iPhone or iPad, you can quickly see the corresponding page from Tripomatic on the web. Just click the Handoff icon that will pop-up in your Mac's Dock.

Introducing Trip Home



That's right, a new home for your trip. We've rebuilt the user interface from the ground up, making it easier to use and navigate.



• Destinations are up front. With all their Places, Tours or Weather forecasts. To switch between multiple destinations in your trip, just swipe left or right.

• Your Itinerary is just one tap away. An overview of the days in your trip is always visible at the top of trip home.

• And of course all the advanced features you love remain. Add notes, set visit times, drag & drop items to adjust your plans.



My Trips facelift



• The My Trips section has been redesigned. And it's not just about the looks. Your trips are now organized into three groups: Scheduled, Past and Trash. So that current and upcoming trips are easily distinguished from the ones you have already undertaken.

• Managing your trips is now a breeze, even for the most avid travelers (and there's a lot of you out there).



This is a huge update for us, several months in the making. That's why we're bumping the version up to 3.0.

These improvements are coming soon to Tripomatic on the web as well.

You've been asking for this one a lot. User photos have arrived to Tripomatic!



• User photos

Upload your own photos to Tripomatic. It's easy to add them to your custom places. You can even help us improve our content. Contribute a photo to any attraction, tour or hotel on Tripomatic and it will be publicly available for everyone to see.



• Text-to-speech

We had a lot of fun with this one. Yet we find it really useful. Have your device read out loud the local name of any attraction. Now you'll know how "Pražský hrad" sounds like in Czech.



• More information for tours

We've added more details for tours, including user reviews.



• Sharing

It's now easy to share a link to any attraction, tour or hotel. Just scroll down in the detail view and tap the appropriate button.



• Custom places map filter

A new filter in the map allows you to see your custom places only.

In the previous version we have introduced Tripomatic Premium. So far the response has been great. Thanks!



This release focuses on further refinement of Premium features. But we haven't stopped there. Here's what's new:



• Route display & navigation

Be guided to the next checkpoint in your trip. Just tap the desired place marker in the map to display the best route. Then tap the location button and the map will automatically follow you and recalculate the route as you move.

Please note that this feature is intended for walking only. That's why it can't be started for long distances. We recommend using one of the third-party apps for driving directions. When installed, they can be launched easily by tapping the distance indicator in item detail.



• Search revamp

Search is now just one tap away. You'll find the new search bar right at the top in the map and all lists.



• Share the love

Do you like Tripomatic? It's now easy to show it to the world. Look for the share option in the main menu.



• Improved destination search

You can now enter almost any address or place when creating a trip or adding a new destination.



• Custom accommodation

Not staying in a hotel? Add a place to spend the night of your own.



• Improved behavior while navigating

The app now remembers that you left it with navigation mode on. Upon return you'll be taken back to the map. This saves you a few taps when roaming around the city and using multiple apps.



• Bug fixes

The app crashed for some when switching the map style while offline. Sorry about that.

Introducing Tripomatic Premium



A new in-app purchase will grant you access to unlimited offline maps and more. Once purchased, premium features will be available across all Tripomatic apps and platforms.



What do you get with Tripomatic Premium:



• Unlimited offline maps

Use the app offline in all available destinations with more being added every month.



• Outdoor and satellite maps

Get detailed premium online maps. See biking, hiking and skiing trails on top of detailed terrain.

Support the development of more advanced features to come.



Individual offline maps are still available for purchase, however, these won't get you access to the advanced features that come with Tripomatic Premium.

We're starting 2015 with yet another release full of goodies for you, including:



• Favorites

Considering a place to visit, but can't yet determine on which day of your trip? Save it to your Favorites list with just a single tap. Then it's easy to find when you're ready to schedule it.

And as always with Tripomatic, your Favorites are synced across all your devices.



• Activity Notes

Need to save a booking reference number to a hotel you are staying in? It's now easy with notes. You can store any piece of useful information with attractions, tours or hotels.



• Day Notes

In addition to activity notes you can now also add a description to each day of your trip.



• Visit times and durations

Tripomatic already provides handy duration estimates for activities. In addition, you can now modify them according to your plans. And you can even set the exact time of visit.



• Bug fixes

In some situations your trip may have disappeared after signing in. This update resolves that and several more issues.

You've been asking for it and we're delivering. Routing and time planning comes to Tripomatic. In this initial release you'll enjoy:



• Time and distance estimates

How far apart are the Eiffel Tower and Louvre? How long would it take to walk there? Now you'll know. The brand new Day detail view gives the answer and also displays an estimated overall distance & time spent for each day.



• Day selection assistance

On which day of my trip should I visit the Concorde Square? We'll show you an estimate of the time needed to get there based on your current plans for each day of your trip, as well as the weather forecast.



• Day map with routes

What's the best route to walk from the Eiffel Tower to the Triumphal Arch? Head to the Day detail view and hit the map button top right, we'll show you.



• Refreshed Itinerary

The Itinerary screen also got a new look and displays more useful information about your trip including weather forecast.



• Management of Destinations in your Trip

Selection of places you'd like to visit comes right to your hands. Destinations of your choice are so easy to pick via Trip Settings flow.



• Hotels Review Score

Still hesitating about the right sleepover for a night or two? Review score information comes as a useful extension to ease you the decision.



This release also comes with fixes for some painful issues, mainly related to the Map, Weather data, sharing and your smooth experience.

We've done our best to serve you with a bit more elegant and simpler, yet useful place to explore the points of your Trip.

To view only the items planned for particular day on a map: go to Itinerary, open the desired day and tap Map top left.

By using them, you'll never miss any Trip you've planned!



We've also squished an army of bugs and improved compatibility with iOS 8, mainly: • fixed a batch of Map-related issues like zooming and switching between places for your productive planning

• fixed dismissing of views when about to enter something via keyboard

• fixed saving of your Custom Places in some conditions

• fixed closing of modal views on iPad by tapping outside of them

• fixed some minor font glitches

• fixed a Reset data function in case anything goes wrong :)

• put many other UI things a bit more right

• Map improvements

See the attractions in your trip when browsing hotels and vice versa.



• More navigation apps supported

Use your favorite navigation app for guidance to your destination. Added support for Waze, Navigon and TomTom in addition to Google Maps and Apple Maps.



• Offline maps background downloading

Offline maps will continue downloading even if you exit the app. We'll notify you when the download is finished.
