Hello, Elaine!Kindly note that you can select the recording quality by going to Settings>Recording Quality.
Also, make sure, that the volume level of your device is adjusted right, and you are not covering the microphone with anything.
As a final note, the app uses the microphone of your device and will naturally share its limitations. - Adel

Recordings take up a lot of storage, therefore the longer they are, the more storage. Please check that you have enough storage left on your phone to make these kind of recordings in the app.
