I’d say less than 5% of the membership base, in Chicago of all places, are BIPOC. The general vibe is scammy, creepy, and weird and if you get messages they are likely to be nasty.

I used instacart religiously for years, until shoppers decided that 5-10% tips are not enough and started delivering rotting food and intentionally messing up orders in retaliation for tips under 10%. I realized that Thrive Market provides the same service without shoppers and will be shopping with them from now on.

I was roped into using this app by meeting with an amazing doctor. Afterwards I was switched to a nurse w/o my consent who was antagonistic. I had to argue with her in order to get referrals for long Covid that added weeks onto treatment delay. Every referral took weeks just to get the order for, not even to schedule the appointment. The nurse told me Covid is just another virus and implied I was fine. I’m now disabled and suffered heart and other serious damage from that Covid infection. I will never forget the heartlessness and antagonism and the needlessly delayed care.
