That’s where the good ends. First, they think you are stupid. They charge $6/mo to play the 2 daily games without ads! Then they try to convince you to pay $4 to play just the last 3 days of the month ad free. Do people actually fall for this scam? Insulting. To play the classic game ad free is $6 once (no ads forever) - that is reasonable.
Second, the ads are insane and getting worse. I expect ads for a free game, but they play ads way too often. Now they play ads even in the middle of a game! And starting May 2024 they play 30-second ads you cannot stop early (this is probably the straw that broke the camel’s back). “Insane” is the only word to describe the ads. I could write 1000 words on the ad problems. Just trust me and be ready to throw your phone against a wall after you are bombarded with ads. I’m ready to move on to another app since the ads are only getting worse each month.

Latest app version 24.4.2 still cannot use Google account to log in. Goes through whole process with Google then gives error. Contacted support with video and screenshots. They thought it was fixed with latest version but it was not.
Yet.. many hours later I tried again. This time it let me log in then took me to a “Who’s Watching” screen that was completely blank and would not let me create profiles even after clicking “Manage”.
I closed the app and tried again and this time it’s right back to the same issue of not letting me login with Google. So the app is still unusable for me.

Most of the time I claim an offer and use it, it never gives me the credit. Sometime it gives less credit than what was shown when I claimed the offer. I have to contact support to get the credit.
It’s okay but maybe not worth the hassle. The radio commercials are also annoying and deceptive - “save $200” but they don’t give the time frame - 1 month? 1 year? 5 years? Of course they can’t give a timeframe because it depends… so stop saying “$200” and instead tell people the average per gallon savings.

Widget shows a document icon when there is a warning that makes the widget mostly unreadable.
Dark Sky was soooooooo much better in so many ways. But they chose to sellout to Apple. I beg Apple to incorporate the Dark Sky accuracy and features asap.

Crashes when opening. Shows load screen then crashes. New iPhone 15 on iOS 17. Reinstalled app. Rebooted phone. Same problem.

Even if I flip from the game to send a quick text and flip back to the game it’ll play another ad. Some ads continue to play music even after they’re done and Wordle is back. Many ads let you exit the ad after 5-7 seconds. But many now (more lately) force you to sit through 30 seconds of ad - and then this same ad plays every single time. Lately I’m stuck watching a 30-second ad for bras almost every single time an ad plays. As a 40-something male I don’t have a lot of use for bras. Their help shows how to report ads but when I do the support reps tell me there’s nothing they can do and that I need to report the ad to Apple or Google. Yeah right.
I’m about to move on to another app since the ads are only getting worse.

A fun game but there are way too many ads which is why I only play the daily game.
And after a word is discovered you cannot see the results. An ad immediately pops up and all you can see (well if you go through the steps to share it) are the number of guesses - not the actual letters guessed. That makes it boring to share with or show someone else.

Push notification says a withdrawal was posted. I click the notification. The WF app opens and signs me in using face recognition. Then a blank screen. This only started after the newly designed app version was released. It has been many months now and they STILL haven’t fixed it. Instead of a blank screen it should open the account where the transaction occurred so I can see the details. Reinstalled app and same problem. They also do not give a way to report technical issues so my only option is to leave a bad review. Otherwise it is a good app. They require more clicks than should be necessary to navigate around but I’m happy with it.

Can’t turn off notifications for “reminder in claimed offers”. App support tried to help with the typical “reinstall” but of course that didn’t work. I know 4 other people (4 out of 4) with the same issue yet somehow they tried to convince me the app isn’t broken. I just had to turn off all alerts at the OS level instead.
Also, I’ve only used the app 3 times and tried to check in 3 times but the app tells me I have to upload a receipt instead. It seems to think I’m 40 feet or so from the gas station even though I’m at the pump at the right station. Annoying.

When trying to turn on/off a notification for a team or sport or even general news, the option will change and then one second later it automatically changes back.
In addition and maybe related, I get lots of alerts that are not enabled. The app clearly shows the alert is not enabled yet I keep getting alerts for things I don’t want to see and sports I don’t even have listed as a favorite.
And some of the alerts I DO want don’t come unless I toggle them off/on - which as I said is buggy because it auto toggles back.
I have logged out of my account and logged back in. I have even deleted the app and reinstalled it. Reinstalling actually made the problem worse! But nothing helps at all. When I contacted ESPN support, no one ever solved the problem.

App has one job (to log hours) - so the total drive time should be right but it isn’t.
Dashboard drive time doesn’t match drive log. Export drive log shows 48.5 hrs but app dashboard shows 46.9 hrs. Close app and reopen doesn’t work. Refresh doesn’t work. But I bet tomorrow or next day the dashboard will update. Very clunky and amateur.

I hate having to type gift card info into the app all the time. If the app could scan (camera) a gift card and store it in my account so I don’t have to hang on to physical cards in my wallet, the app would get 5 stars. This miss is soooo annoying.

Can’t cast to Chromecast anymore (used to work) but the show is amazing. Cast to Chrome will shows intro screen but won’t actually play video.

When searching, the price shown is way less (50% or more) than the price you will be charged. You don’t see the real price until trying to reserve the location. I HATE when companies try to trick or deceive me. I’ve used Airbnb once for a nice stay. Every other trip, a nice hotel has been much cheaper.

Mobile notifications for Teams work about 50% of the time. Even when Teams on my laptop is off (laptop shutdown) it won’t always alert my phone. Sometimes it is fine but often no alerts. It acts like I’m still on the laptop. The only way around this is to have it alert my phone all the time - even when I’m active on desktop. That is annoying.
Slack just works. It rocks. But our company won’t pay for Slack so we all have to use Teams.
