I usually like the mini games in Genshin and HSR. They’re a nice break from the usual gameplay. Unlike most games, Hoyo typically doesn’t put the in-game currency awards, gems, behind the hardest difficulty level. This lets players of all play-styles, hardcore or casual, get gems without getting overly frustrated. This version of HSR added Hamster Ball Nights, which is just awful. I’d put up with the low-effort graphics and boring gameplay if I could clear the levels and get the gems. But no. They have a single score threshold, 2000 points, that doesn’t seem possible to achieve. The best I’ve gotten is around 1800, and I have no idea how I did it. Good runs will score 1100 points and bad runs 1800. I have tried the first level about a dozen times and can’t get any better at it. I’d be fine with just skipping it if there weren’t hundreds of gems I’m missing out on. There’s also a world quest to complete on the “difficult” setting that I’m obviously never going to complete.
Update: the design is even worse than I thought. You score better by spamming the action button than you do by trying to play skillfully. I’ve cleared several levels this way. There’s another variant that gives you a gun, and that one’s even worse.

The ads FOR this game in other games made me want to download it so I can give it a 1 star rating and then delete it. I don’t mind ads if all you do is watch them, then close them. But not RM ads. It’s watch, then try to click the “continue” button, which usually fails, so you a pop-up for the App Store, then you have to close that. Once you succeed on the “continue” button, then you get another pop up to open the App Store, then you have to close that. Then you try to tap the tiny “X” to close the ad, which usually fails, and opens the pop-up for the App Store. Do that a couple more times and you close the ad.

When generative fill fails, it prompts you to leave feedback, but doesn’t give any way to do so. So here it is. You can’t tell it what you want to draw, because the prompt censoring is set to 11, where the most banal and innocent words are inexplicably verboten. Most generative art is terrible at drawing human hands, so it often needs to redraw a hand. But “fingers” as a prompt is too pervy for Adobe, and sends them running for the smelling salts without even trying to generate anything. But if you don’t tell it what to draw, its imagination goes wild and it generates — I’m guessing — the most unimaginable filth, then censors itself and blames me for making it draw the thing it drew. It’s stupid that it has a prompt censor at all, because it also censors the output. Let me tell Firefly what I’m trying to draw, then if the output looks bad, block it, and let me flag it, so Adobe can train it to stop drawing pervy stuff for innocent prompts. How else will it get better? Also don’t ask me for feedback and then give me no way to provide it.

Yes, I know I can change my account settings to not prompt me. But this doesn’t work in anonymous mode, many embedded web browsers, etc. Quit being evil.

I quit caring about the story in 1.2. Don’t make us suffer through the slowest talkers, with their overwritten verbose repetitive inane repetitive verbose inane verbose overwritten repetitive dialog. I’m not sure I can sit through the 3 quests going on right now.
At the very least, if we have the auto-advance dialog feature on, let it make the choices for us, too, since they have absolutely no impact on anything. Then I could let the toons drone on to themselves while I clean house or do taxes — two things I’d rather do than sit through unskippable HSR quest dialog.

If you change the setting from “carrier” to “WiFi”, it updates the UI but then shows an error message saying it couldn’t change the preference and it uses the carrier to make the call anyway. Also, tried making a call to an 855 number, but when I clicked the call icon, it prompts me to call a 202 number or cancel with no explanation why.

Seriously. This game has ruined all other mobile games for me. I’ll never play another ad-4-play/pay-to-win, boring, buggy game that forces you into toxic interactions with feral sociopaths again. How is it not 5 out of 5?
Update: Still good. Ignore the haters.

Previous versions let you view and edit custom keywords and numbers for blocking/allowing texts. Now you can only add them and you cannot view them. Did it actually keep my previous settings? No idea, can’t check. Does block/allow feature currently work? No idea, can’t see the settings to confirm.
Update: still doesn’t work on iPad, but I suspect that it doesn’t work at all on iPad. There’s no option to use Textkiller as the SMS spam filter. Meanwhile, the block list is now editable on iPhone, but it doesn’t always filter out SMS spam that matches those keywords. I added “UPS” and “USPS” as block keywords, but I still get iMessage spam about “packages being held at the warehouse” from email addresses that are obviously not UPS or USPS.

Nothing like wasting an hour on difficulty 3/5 with maxed characters and getting nothing out of it due to RNG. Gold & Gears was a lot more fun, it made me try Swarm Disaster again. I want my time back.

This app’s records doesn’t match the records from Aetna HealthEquity, despite being the same account. This app can see that I made a payment via HE, but can’t agree on dates, bill amounts, and providers for visits.
Update: still doesn’t agree. I paid for CVS Rx (an Aetna subsidiary), which I ordered through this app, paid for by my Aetna HealthEquity HSA, through this very app, yet the statements in the app say “you might owe $___” — JFC, YOU PAID YOURSELF FOR YOUR OWN SERVICES AND YOU DON’T KNOW??
