Well, hello again. It's been a little while! It's nice to be back. With this release, Charm is up to date with all modern iOS devices, ready for a whole new generation of curation and storytelling with Twitter.

Charm 1.1 adds powerful tools for quick and easy Tweet curation with collections.



SEARCH & BROWSE



Browse and search Twitter from inside the app, select multiple Tweets from the results, then add them to a collection in a single tap. Just hit the new “search” icon in the toolbar to get started, enter search terms or pick from your timelines, lists, and saved searches on Twitter.



The new curation tool also lets you find and append Tweets directly into an existing collection. Update live events with just a tap.



TWEETSTORMS & CONVERSATIONS



When collecting a single Tweet, you can now switch to that user's entire profile to grab multiple Tweets from that author in one pass, or view a whole thread history to collect conversations and tweetstorms in one action.



COLLECTION EDITING



You can now reorder Tweets in collections. Optimise the reading order, group together related commentary, tweak the order to add context or readability. Charm now helps you present a collection exactly as your want it.



The result of all this is that you’ll be able to grab more Tweets in less taps, inside the app or in the extension. Charm 1.1 is fitter, happier, and more productive.



BUG FIXES



* Multi-line descriptions are now legible in the main index and collection views.

* Network errors on start-up will no longer result in a confusing message that you “have no collections”, even when you do.

* “@” and “#” prefixes on collection names will now sort alphabetically.

* Favourites timeline now infinitely scrolls.

* Fixed a bug when collecting retweets. The underlying Tweet will now be added to a collection as expected.

* Technicolour.

* Fixed a bug where using a protected Twitter account left you unable to see the Tweets in your collections. (Thanks to Brian B.)

Hi! Thank you so much everyone who's tried out Charm so far. The response and feedback has been beyond my wildest expectations. Your comments and feature suggestions to @collectcharm have been kind, fantastically insightful, and greatly appreciated. I'm really excited to build new features to help collect and curate Tweets, even more so now for such an enthusiastic audience!



For now though, this update brings a small array of updates and bug fixes to smooth out some mistakes in the first release.



* There are now a pair of character counters in the “New Collection” screen, and a warning if you try to create collections with too much text. Sorry, that was terribly confusing when the screen would sit there with no feedback.



* Some extra thank-yous and notes of inspiration have been added to the settings screen. A few people were missed, for which I feel terrible, and I figured I'd write a little more about what I consider the prior art for Charm in the Twitter community over the past decade.



* Updated to Twitter Kit v2.3, which brings a handful of useful new features from Twitter, better auth flows for web accounts, and better loading indicators for timelines.



* Fixed an issue where opening Charm from a Twitter App Card would always open the “New Collection” screen. That was broken because I'd started working on support for the `x-charm://` handler in the app so that you can script Charm, or invoke it from your own web pages and apps directly, but then I didn't finish it for v1.0.



* …Added support for the `x-charm://` protocol handler in Charm! (Surprise!) You can now invoke Charm from your own web pages or apps with the `x-charm://` protocol. Just two features for now: Use `x-charm://new` to create new collections, and `x-charm://collect/20` to add the Tweet with ID #20 to a collection.
