Social Golf Handicap Calculator for Australian Golfers
HandiKeeper X uses the Golf Australia handicapping system adopted in 2010 and modified in September 2011 and May 2013 to record a social golfer's rounds and calculate their handicaps.
HandiKeeper X allows you to:
- Easily record a player's score as each round is completed and then for each golfer you can give them an instant update to their handicap
- Set up an individual profile, including picture, for each golfer
- Configure a list of courses to make selection and entering of common details easy for each player and round
- Enter scores in either direct gross score format or using a player's stableford score
- Send emails to each golfer with full details of the rounds they have played and their calculated handicap.
HandiKeeper X in Free mode supports data entry for 1 player and 4 courses only, does not allow sending of emails and has advertisements.
By selecting the UPGRADE option within the application you remove these restrictions and get:
- Unlimited player and course entry
- Email sending to all of your players
- No Advertisements!!!
NOTE:
1. HandiKeeper X does not replace GolfLink for registered Australian golfers. It is intended for the many social golf clubs out there that may have been caught out by the change to a new Australian golf handicapping system in 2010.
2. HandiKeeper does not support the current Golf Australia Handicapping system (circa 2020). The handicapping system used by HandiKeeper has been superseded by Golf Australia however the handicapping system provided by HandiKeeper is still useful for managing social golf handicaps.
3. HandiKeeper X is based on the popular HandiKeeper App, allowing a "try before you buy option".

Bug Fixes and New Features

1. Implemented the Anchor Handicap scheme for the Australian "Best of 8" handicap method. The anchor is only used in the "Best of 8 Calculations.

2. Fixed the Gross Score calculator so that a course par can be specified. This corrects issues where the ACR is different to the Par played on the day.

3. Added a Handicap Predictor which tells you what your handicap will be based on your anticipated round.

4. Added a custom handicap calculation method based on the percentage of rounds played and allows you to specify your own multiplication factor. This is based on the Australian handicapping method but may be better suited to social groups.

5. The file system for HandiKeeper is now shown in iTunes when viewing the Apps. This allows you to replace your Database if you are upgrading to a new phone and have trouble keeping app data in the process. See http://handikeeper.info for details.

6. Courses and players are now sorted alphabetically based on user feedback.

Updated to support the Best of 8 Handicapping method released by GolfAustralia on the 21/9/2011. This includes:

- Only the best 8 of 20 rounds are used in the calculation.

- The magic multiplication factor is now 0.93

- Handicap round differentials are capped at 40 for a male player and 50 for a female player

An option has been added to use the pre 21/9/2011 (Best of 10) method of handicapping if required. The default is the new best of 8 method.
