Just note sound ID is not always accurate

I did not intend to get hooked on this app when I first tried it out two years ago, yet here we are. I have thus far captured the songs of 135 species that I never knew live in my neighborhood. The only thing I would like to see is a way to pause recording. I sit in my backyard and record the birds, but we are apparently in several flight paths and the noise from the planes causes less than ideal recordings. It would be nice to be able to pause the recording until the planes are gone instead of having to start a new recording. All in all, I love this app.

I have told quite a few friends about this app and they all use it. The best is my grandson; we started it when he was 5 and he loves it. He still uses it and he’s 7. He had me put it on his laptop since I needed my phone back…lol. Can’t get enough of it, especially since I use it when I travel.

I’ll be standing in close proximity to a vocal bird and Merlin will not pick it up. At times it picks up the faintest of calls. What’s happening?

It clears my life list every time I close out the app.

Both my husband and I use it and it is fun when we are in our backyard or at the Botanical Gardens. We have shared it with many friends! It is awesome!

Interface to save to life list isn’t intuitive. When it does save to life list birds then disappear after a few more saves. Transferring to eBird doesn’t work for me. Would pay money per year if app was more reliable and intuitive. Really need to merge apps into one.

Loved using the app until the recent update, which seems to have broken adding things to the lifelist as well as exploring a birds details page. Most of the pictures are gone, and nothing I’ve ID’d recently is in my lifelist

The new design is not as intuitive to use. I also can’t view birds identified or add to my life list.

Super simple and easy to use, yet packed full of information! This app is amazing and has provided me with quite a bit of serotonin and dopamine. Being neurodivergent with ADHD, those are hard to come by on some days. This app has really helped that, and it’s helped increase my personal knowledge of my local birds. Now I can tell my cats what kind of birb they’re watching, and they think I’m the smartest man alive.
