While on WiFi the game reconnects, UI glitches which don’t allow you to play a card, UI glitches that leave a card on the screen, UI glitches that freeze the game, and other various issues for a game that has been out for a few years. Terrible app development and support for the app itself. These issues have been present for 3+ years and still haven’t been addressed.

This is a great game to enjoy on the go.

Update will not download in app. Reconnect error never connects. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and the troubleshooting on the website.

Writing this review not for the standard release Legends of Runeterra but for the mini game Path of Champions. The pre-designed decks and roguelike progression gives me endless replay-ability. Kudos to Riot for once again being player experience focused. After months of trying different decks, I’ve finally unlocked a 5 star dungeon. And boy is it hard. Super satisfying to clear a 3.5+ star map. The synergy of champion cards to league abilities is very well thought of. My only change is I would ask for an offline mode so I can play this on an airplane or subway ride. Wouldn’t want to play anything else!

I was looking for a replacement to mtg and hearthstone and this seemed promising but is not nearly as fun. Firstly how do you check what a specific effect does? In hearthstone you could hold the card and it would prompt you with an explanation for every effect. Here you're left to guess and deduce. After hours of play I still haven't even unlocked PvP as I'm still doing those repetitive and boring AI road campaigns. Is this how they introduce players to the meta; Forcing them waste their time with a ton of offline games with tutorial level engagement? Just make an initial tutorial and get it out of the way at that point... Overall this seems like an oversimplified version of those card games, but stripped of all the funnest aspects in lieu of flashy animations and simplified text. The only semblance of complexity coming from the poor design. Maybe this game gets funner but it's been a real drag for me.
