At this point you almost wonder if they are intentionally screwing this app up….. newest issue among many others, if I view a photo on someone’s post the whole thing freezes up and guess what? IT THEN FREEZES MY PHONE UP AS WELL! Used to be a great app now it’s useless. Better off using a privacy oriented browser on your phone!

Updated 4/22/2024. I use this on my iPad to see Facebook posts. After the last 2updates instead of only seeing 5 posts, I can now only see 6., and half of those are suggested ones. Oh and the bottom navigation bar has reverted back to missing
Can anyone recommend an alternate to friendly so I can view all my Facebook posts without having to go to actual Facebook?
3/10/2024: after updating today, the bottom navigation bar is still missing. I only see about 4posts from friends when Facebook on my pic shows many more. Updated 11/23/2023. After latest update the navigation bar at the bottom ( has the search , people icons etc) has disappeared and I don’t know how to get it back permanently. My iPad is now gen 8 version 17.1.1. :Updated April 3rd 2022. I have the latest system update for my iPad 2, 10.3.4. When I opened this app, pages wouldn't load, I think it upgraded itself, but I didn't catch what it did. I'm did a hard reboot, now, when app tries to load the screen where the posts are, the app goes into background and stays there. Ads prevent posts and "likes" from updating straight away, which is very annoying.app appears to be sucking up power and draining my iPad. I have to hard power off to stop it. After downloading the latest updates, scrolling has become worse, almost non-existent. Also now has more of the annoying stuff that Facebook has.

This app was a must have for years. Ow it has been gradually getting worse. It used to be that you had great control on your feed, hardly , if any, sponsored or advertising, now they are maybe 3 notches away from the FB app. Enough to make one think why bother? Listen, if you are looking for an app that gives you great control over your feed, move along, this is not it anymore

My device is freezing when I download any video

Broken links, GUI elements go missing when I open photos on Marketplace and I can’t navigate back to results. Clunky, buggy, and not worth it.

I used to love this app to download videos and now it doesn’t even do that. Probably will just delete it if I can’t use it to save videos from Instagram.

No longer downloads most of what I’m requesting. Says no video detected most of the time

Edit 3/11/24-April 9 update is still garbage.
Edit 3/26/24-newest version today. Still riddled with everything mentioned below. Garbage. Edit: 2/23/24–new version. Reduced to one star. Crashes stopped (thank you) but I’m STILL seeing a ton of clutter in my feed that I didn’t used to get. On top of that, now a bunch of that clutter includes a bunch of barely clad women and sexist material I’ve never seen before. Version 8.9.38 2/13/24 Sponsored ads are gone again in Friendly Plus (I appreciate that fix) but I’m still getting a ton of Suggested for You posts in my feed that I didn’t used to get as well as similar pages based on my interests that are in my feed to tap Follow. It’s still making my feed cluttered and nearly useless to me. *Edit* Feb 15, 2024. Launches the app, saw Sponsored Ads again. App crashed trying to leave a comment on a friend’s post. Came back in and the sponsored ads were gone (Suggested for You still there). What sort of programming does this app have??

Doesn’t block ads. Shows more reels and more garbage. Very disappointing. Save your money. Use a private browser and a VPN that blocks ads.
