Snapchat requires a subscription now!!??

There’s a problem whenever I try to add someone or talk to a new person it glitches out of their chat and I can’t text them

Honestly i love snapchat, most probably my most used app at the moment, but for some reason I get notifications from certain people and when i tap to open it, it show that there nothing as if no one sent me something after I saw the notification come through. And when i search a person that I snapped less than an hour ago they don’t show up? i tried restarting my phone, deleting and re-installing, i backed up my phone and even cleared my cache and still nothing? What’s happening snapchat?
