The tv interface is poor simply doesn’t work. I have interest but do not work.

I love Philo. Lots of great channels. I love watching ID on demand. My other favorites are Great American Family and the 2 Hallmark channels. During Christmas in July and from the end of October to January 1st those 3 channels are on 24)7. Christmas movies are great!!

Got this because of all the good reviews and a show I wanted to watch. First off, the price is outrageous given that this comes with commercials. It’s more than double the cost of several commercial-free apps I enjoy and almost ten times the cost of other streaming services with ads.
For the price, you would expect an amazing app. But no. This is by far the biggest app I’ve suffered through. Everything I try to do kicks me out of the show I’m watching. When I try to get back to the show, I first have to watch a commercial to even start it, even though I was in the middle of an episode. If I have to rewind or fast forward, I’m forced to sit through commercials even though they already played the first time. I can’t skip them to get to my spot. And you can’t pause in a commercial if you need to do something that takes longer than the 2-4 minutes of commercials, meaning I either have to turn off the app or walk away and rewind, which forces me to watch commercials yet again.
Basically it’s $25/mo for hours of commercials with maybe a few minutes of disjointed show sprinkled in.

I’ve had philo for about 4 years and I have no complaints at all. There’s a couple of shows that I have to have Hulu for, but it’s still totally worth it for everything available. I do wish I could get NatGeo Wild but I’d probably never have time to watch it anyway. I love the fact that you can save shows to watch later- and skip over the commercials, lol!

Please fix the Apple AirPlay feature I can’t connect this app to play anything through AirPlay and I have a brand new 2020 lg tv

It doesn’t encourage me to sign up for the service when the free trial has 8+ commercials per episode lasting 2.5 minutes each

Ads are like every 10 mins.. not worth it. 25 a month too

Philo is a great app, I get to watch things whenever I want to. The reason I put a 4 star is because when I want to watch a certain movie or show, I can’t because it’s not live, and for me I don’t know why but the app is a little slow, BUT NOT THAT MUCH. It also tells you how long the advertisements are; so that’s a great benefit. Because nobody I know likes commercials. So I would recommend the app FOR SURE 100%!!!!!!!!!!

Philo had decided to place an ad for their shows on the landing page of the app. So now if you don’t react with it the app will force start the show. This is the last straw. You shove your self promoted ads and your affiliate ads down our throat all day long. Now a forced ad when I start the app. I will be canceling my service after 2 years. Done with you guys.I’m not paying for this type of ad abuse.

Rpdr season 16 is over now and that means I get to delete this horribly designed app. The ads are WAY to long. I also find it super annoying that if I back the episode up a few minutes and it happens to be right before a commercial break THAT I HAVE ALREADY SAT THROUGH ONCE I have to then rewatch all the commercials again. It’s just corporate greed and capitalism at its finest. They want us to watch as much ads as possible so that they can make an extra 10¢. It’s pathetic like you are already paying for a subscription. If anything this experience was just a reminder why cable and television in general is dying out. Do better.
