Sure that cafe has wifi, but is it good wifi? One tap runs a test, rates the hotspot's quality, and tells you what you'll be able to do there (email, web browsing, video conferencing, etc). A couple more taps save the results to the map for everyone to see. Hotspots show on the map. Happy, meh, and sad smiley icons tell you how useful each hotspot is (or how happy you'll be with their connection). Tapping a hotspot shows its name and a text description that explains what it's good for. Tap the hotspot's info button and (if you have the FourSquare app installed), you'll be taken right to the business's FourSquare page for info and directions. At a cafe (or restaurant, or hotel, or wherever)? Run a speed test on its wifi connection and save it to the map in two taps. Powered by FourSquare's massive worldwide venue database, you don't even need to enter the venue's name. Tap a hotspot and the "action" button to share the hotspot, speed rating, and smiley image with friends or maybe the owner of that café. Our mission is to build a global database of Internet hotspots to help travelers stay connected, no matter where their adventures lead. This is the paid version of the app. There's also a free version at YetAnotherWifiApp.com that runs on anything (you can even save it to your home screen for a built-in-app feel). This one's prettier, and your generous purchase buys us a cup of coffee at one of those cafes we were talking about (thank you!). (Note: YAWA is not affiliated with FourSquare, we just use the publicly available API to make YAWA better for you!)
