I updated my app yesterday...why does my app dont want to open? I restarted my phone...now it takes forever to reinstall

I updated tiktok and it doesn't let me follow anybody, when I follow someone it just goes back to me not following them, it's super annoying. Whenever I'm scrolling every single video glitches and that's also very annoying. Lastly, my tiktok is very slow and it's the most annoying thing ever. I updateded tiktok many times but these problems can't be fixed. I thought it was my phone, so I restarted it but it was still the same thing. I hope these problems can be fixed, but overall, the app is ok.

It won't let me sign in and takes me around in circles: send code > input code > back to the login page. Pathetic and a waste of time.
