Needs a Horizontal rotation option

When you first open the app you have to have the device in a vertical position, if you turn it horizontal it does not respond. Once you open up a book it will respond. Marvel Unlimited has been doing this for a long time now, makes it easier if you are reading on an iPad.

It’s great when it works!

I have has this app since it first came out. I have been through all the transitions and have my monthly subscription. Yet, I am ALWAYS having trouble getting into this app. I constantly get error messages that won’t allow me access to my library. But they make sure to hit my account every single month for their payment. I have Marvel unlimited as well and NEVER have any issues getting to my comics or any other content I have with them.
The developers need to improve on this. I haven’t been able to access my stuff in over 2 months. I deleted the app and have tried to re-download it and have been unsuccessful. I simply am getting the infinite swirl of death.

I spend more time with Alfred than Batman

Such a buggy app. Reading comics is impossible at times. I’ve spent the last 10 minutes trying to get 1 page to load but keep getting the Alfred page instead. When it works, it’s fine. But too often lately it hasn’t been working.

Terrible updates

This used to be fantastic, but I added Ultra — so I’’m paying more — and now I’ve had to delete and reinstall the app the last few weeks just to see the new comics, which wipes out the comics I’ve downloaded. I see that the app was updated again 6 days ago and now the “Comics Download” page has become completely inoperative. None of the downloaded comics can be opened and the menu bottom doesn’t work.

Hi there - our apologies for this issue! We're happy to confirm that this has now been resolved. Please open the Storage setting page of your iOS device and delete the app from there. craziest money grab i’ve ever witnessed

i’m new to dc comics and decided to try the free trial out because this app seemed like a really great way to get myself into the comics without having to individually buy them just to find out i’m not into it. an 8$ membership with so many comics at my fingertips seemed literally amazing.
realistically, the monthly membership is a waste of time to even try. almost every series i looked at, the first comic was locked for only ultra members but the rest were available for monthly subscribers. how am i supposed to read the rest if i can’t even access the first one? while i understand that they want to promote the ultra package, it essentially makes the monthly membership completely unusable. so unless you’re willing to drop 100$ to access ultra, i’d just skip downloading this app altogether.
but even if you are willing to drop that kind of money, i still wouldn’t even recommend it. the app crashes like crazy. you want to search for a comic? sorry, the app is going to crash. you want to download a comic? that’s too bad, the app is going to crash. i would be really mad if i paid 100$ for an app that’s hardly functional.
overall, this was a really frustrating experience and i can’t even begin to understand why they set this up the way they did. if i wanted to pay a hundred dollars for comics, i would just buy the comics individually so i can at least have a physical copy. and if you want people to pay that kind of money, at least make the app functional. what a fail.

Gone way downhill

Used to love this app. For the past month, had to delete and reinstall each week to even see new comics. This is literally what support tells to you do. Also, that deletes all of your downloaded comics. But now it won’t even let me download any comics, so I guess that solves that problem. Just a mess.

Content is great, but there are iPad bugs

I love the Ultra subscription and getting new comics only 1 month delayed is a huge benefit. However, some bad bugs are still on the iPad app. The weekly new comics do not appear at all on the Home Screen, even after a refresh, killing the app or even logging out and logging back in. I have to delete the app, reinstall and re-login, then I see the weekly new comics. Another bug is the inability to load all pages correctly, even though I have a strong Wi-Fi connection. I have to hit the Retry button a lot to reload an image.

Don’t work like they tell you

You pay for it and it just dose not work. Dose not update with new comics when they say it will, loading errors all the time, old or new comics and more. Worked better when I paid $7 for it monthly.
