Unless you pay, they force you to have very wide ranges (e.g., 10 years for age) so that it isn’t usable

This has got to be one of the most inefficient apps for dating, not one person matches anything that I am looking for in a partner.
Use modern technology to better match people with their preferences….

Just as the title says, I’ve been on the wait list for years (4 I believe) in the #1 position locally and globally. Never been accepted in, and at this point doubt I will unless I pay.

I’d say less than 5% of the membership base, in Chicago of all places, are BIPOC. The general vibe is scammy, creepy, and weird and if you get messages they are likely to be nasty.

Once you create a profile you haft to wait to be able to do anything. It’s gives you a number of the people in front of you waiting to be able to actually us the app. I’ve had the app for ruffle 3-4 weeks and I haven’t moved up the list but maby 2 spots But if you wana pay the absolutely outrageous price they have for there premium you get instant access This app is absolutely pointless Be different if there prices were so high I mean come on $100 for a 1 week membership like come on be realistic with you prices

Waited about 7 months for the waitlist. Got off, used it consistently for about half a year, with no matches. Quit for a month to return to see that I’ve been removed from flakiness and need to wait all over again.

This app is designed for users to shell out some serious money. For those of you less interested in doing that but still curious about the League, read on.
Since the League’s “concierge” service is clearly not a real person but a bot that won’t answer my questions (unless I pay for a membership costing hundreds of dollars), maybe an app developer can reply for me here, in this review that I wish I could give 0 stars:
Why do you keep sending me profiles that I’ve “swiped” NO to, multiple times? I think you showed me a profile of someone that I literally said no to 4 times. Over and over. No new profiles at all. My guess is it’s because I’m not a paying subscriber —is this supposed to compel me to buy a membership? It feels manipulative.
Non-paying members only get 3 profiles to see, per day. The app will claim it’s to show “quality over quantity” — so then why not show me some NEW profiles instead of 3 that I’ve already swiped “no” on several times? Maybe I’m a dispensable user because I’m not a paying subscriber and if I delete the app out of frustration, it’s not a terrible loss to you?
And ladies, please take note: the same guys you see on other dating apps like Bumble, are also on the League. Just saying. Gentlemen, I’m gonna guess you’re seeing the same gals too.
It might be understandable if the League charged less for exclusive memberships (dating apps are increasingly needing more revenue to stay afloat because more people are foregoing/deleting dating apps) But memberships range from $100 per week to more than $2,000 for a 1-month VIP package! That is way too exorbitant and frankly seems desperate. Like me.
If you are okay with paying that much and are able, power to you.
Otherwise, this app will disappoint you.

As someone who takes pride in their physical appearance and invests time in crafting a standout profile, my experience with The League dating app has been lackluster, to say the least. Despite my efforts, I've only managed to secure three matches and one date through the platform.
While The League markets itself as an exclusive dating app for ambitious individuals, the quality of connections it facilitates leaves much to be desired. Despite my best efforts, I've found that many of my matches seem disinterested in forming meaningful connections, which defeats the purpose of using a dating app in the first place.
The app's selective nature, which initially seemed appealing, ultimately translates into a limited pool of potential matches, making it challenging to find someone truly compatible.
Additionally, the user interface can be clunky at times, detracting from the overall user experience.
In conclusion, while The League may appeal to those seeking exclusivity, it falls short in delivering meaningful connections. For those looking for genuine relationships, I would recommend exploring other dating platforms that prioritize compatibility and engagement over exclusivity.

Promises quality matches with highly educated people. Keeps delivering estheticians that live way outside of my search area and way outside of the selected age range. Initially, I was getting some interesting matches, so I paid for a year, got zero matches. Not paying anymore. The app suffers from the same problem as any other dating app — they don’t care if you get a date, they care that they are getting paid. It’s one of those cases where the business model does not align with the customer interests, but we are a captive audience, aren’t we? I can see a couple of reasonable likes (at least matching the selected age range) sitting in the queue. They have been there for a month now. Does the app show them to me? No. But, it is happy to show me matches outside of my search preferences.
